Cat is excited to be a teacher at TIDE because she believes in our Mission and Vision of providing engaging project based learning. Closing race and gender gaps in the STEM field here in Silicon Valley is also something she believes in.
Cat is a Social Studies teacher here at TIDE, specializing in 9th grade Ethnic Studies. She believes Ethnic Studies provides a transformational curriculum that positively impacts all students both academically and socially.
Cat grew up in San Francisco and went to Vassar College in New York where she earned her degree in History, with a minor in Spanish. She also completed her Masters in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction at Lesley University.
