creating a safe, welcoming, supportive school and classrooms
building resilience, healthy coping strategies, and the ability to process complex emotions
providing students and families with information about supports and resources, including how to seek help if needed
We do this through…
Community-Building and Restorative Practices
Staff at TIDE engage students in community circles in Nucleus classes to help students connect to each other and have open discussions. TIDE staff also facilitate restorative justice circles in situations of conflict to help students come to new understandings and repair harms.
Social Emotional Learning
In Nucleus classes, teachers and Wellness Center staff will engage students in SEL lessons drawing from CharacterStrong and other SEL topics based on students’ ideas and needs.
Mental Health Support Services
At TIDE, we offer mental health support including counseling, crisis services, and referrals to resources.
Students can connect to our Mental Health Support Specialist by filling out this form or visiting the QR code on the flyers around campus. Parents and guardians who are seeking support for your student, please reach out directly to Lauren Reiser at lreiser@seq.org or ext. 79051.
In addition, Wellness Center staff can connect students and families to outside supports to meet their needs…
CareSolace
In an effort to continuously support students, their families, and our staff, SUHSD has partnered with the Care Solace program. Care Solace is an online multilingual resource with a live 24/7 concierge meant to assist individuals in finding mental health services, including appointments with a therapist or psychiatrist.
You can access Care Solace services by calling their 24/7 concierge team at (888) 515-0595 or by visiting their website.
Please reach out to the Wellness Center staff if you have any questions about this service.
